LAX Succumbs to Spangelmania!

It was a scene to rival Beatlemania as Angel and Spike, fresh off their European tour, returned to the United States last night.

Huge crowds flanked the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport, overwhelming security guards who tried to keep them inside the observation area.

"I don't even know how they got out there," said one security guard. "No one is supposed to get past the secure area to the gates. We just looked up, and there were hundreds of people out there on the asphalt, waiting for the plane to taxi up the runway."

LA police are speculating that the crowd had access to some sort of magic teleporter, or at least demonic help.

In any case, throngs of cheering fans waved signs and screamed greetings as the Dynamic Duo disembarked.

Spike waved enthusiastically to the crowd as he stepped off the plane. Angel merely grabbed Spike's elbow and hustled him inside.

The two had to push their way through the throng, causing Angel to bare his teeth at one point. No one was bitten in the melee.

Once safely past the gate, the pair climbed into a private car and were whisked away to an undisclosed locatation. Several fans were arrested as they tried to stop the car from leaving.

"It was worth it," said one swooning admirer. "They're so heroic and hunky, and they make the most adorable couple!"
