Romantic Rendezvous at the Rectory!

Sources close to Angel and Spike report that the couple has escaped the prying eyes of Hollywood hounds for a private vacation in the old country.

"Spike was getting nostalgic for England, and Angel needed to get away from all the publicity here in LA," said a source close to the couple.

The bruttimabuoni Broadsheet snapped this photograph of the private retreat where the vampires have holed up for the duration of their stay.

"It's a house with a lot of history for them," the source told Excess Hollywood. "Apparently they used to eat there a lot, back in the day."

The 400-year old home was originally built as an almonry, where monks would hand out alms to the poor. "The monks weren't too happy to see Angelus back," the source continued.

Fortunately for our heroes, the house has been a private residence since the 19th century. "The owner has family in Los Angeles. She was so grateful to Team Angel for saving the city from hell, she offered to let them stay any time they wanted."

So, what's with the Mini parked in front of the house? According to our source, "It's a rental car. Spike wanted a Ferarri, but Angel was too cheap to pay for one."

Angel reportedly agreed to let Spike drive, as a compromise. "Angel was mortified to be seen behind the wheel of something so small."
